I was at the Chaos Communication Conference of the Chaos Computer Club (like the last years ). This year it was the 34C3. For the first time it took place at Messe Leipzig. Home game! For those who are bored between the holidays, from 27.12. - 30.12 every year this conference offers a variety of opportunities for education and networking. Whole families including children are at the conference, not only nerds locked in cellars with pizza and coke in front of the computer there.
On Wednesday, the 15th of November, pentacor was one of the exhibitors at the ChemCon2017 at University of Technology in Chemnitz. This is a career fair, where companies can promote their business and technology contents to offer job perspectives to students and alumni. Mike Horn and Stefanie Wenzel were the pentacor representatives at our stand. A lot of students and alumni joined our stand and discussed with us about our company strategies and technologies as well as our company culture.
We are really happy that we are working in a company where education is actually appreciated. So, regardless of close timelines in the projects as well as kids and husbands sitting at home waiting for their moms – we did it 😉! Long story short: we took the time to participate at API Conference 2017 (APICON) in Berlin. As APIs are our daily business, it was obvious that someone from our team will attend at this conference.
At beginning of September we did it again - strictly speaking for the second time ;-) our pentacor Business Development Day. This time we were at the beautiful Parkhotel in Meerane. In the evening from Thursday to Friday we had a great dinner in the sweet ambience of Parkhotel. There we had the chance to discuss themes around our work in a loose atmosphere but also were able to get more connected as a team - or even as friends.
